I’ve been ordering the same breakfast from Schmear Bagels for a while, and unfortunately the quality has gone downhill. The last few orders have all had the same issue—everything is undercooked. I specifically select the double-toasted bagel option, but it still arrives very soft instead of toasted and crispy. The sausage was also very soft and didn’t seem cooked the way I expected. It just wasn’t what I ordered or what I’ve consistently paid for. I’m very disappointed and hope the restaurant pays more attention to preparation and order accuracy.

Schmear Bagels was absolutely delicious! Everything we tried was fresh, warm, and full of flavor. The bagels had the perfect texture, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The spreads and fillings were generous and really well made. Such a great spot for a proper bagel, and we would definitely come back again!

Schmear Bagel Parlor on Locust Street in Philadelphia is doing bagels right. Excellent flavor, solid quality, and really good value. The bagels are fresh-baked with that perfect chewy texture and great taste — you can tell they’re made with care and quality ingredients. Way above average for a quick spot in the city. My favorite discovery here was the Jalapeño Cheese bagel with Hot Honey on it. The spicy, cheesy base gets an incredible boost from the sweet-heat of the hot honey. It’s bold, balanced, savory with just the right kick, and seriously addictive. One of the most interesting and delicious bagel combos I’ve had. Prices are very fair too — you get generous portions and real quality without overpaying. Great value, especially compared to some of the more expensive options around Rittenhouse and Center City. If you’re near Locust Street or looking for a reliable, flavorful bagel in Philly, stop into Schmear Bagel Parlor. The Jalapeño Cheese bagel with Hot Honey is an absolute must-try. I’ll definitely be back!

Pre ordered bagels for my team and they were a huge hit! As was the French toast schmear. My order was ready even though I was a little early. Even more impressive, they had my coffee queued up just waiting to pour it when I got there. The man at the window was very helpful too. Five stars!

After walking a ways to another place for breakfast and being super disappointed I walked back to the hotel. Saw this place on the map and decided to stop. Man this was the best bagel sandwich I’ve had in a long time. I got the boss. The guy helping there was so personable and spoke to my daughter about her volleyball she was there to play. He also watched us well on our trip back to Texas as he handed us our food. I would come here non stop next time in town.
